Our Wi-Fi service for students and staff is called Eduroam.
If you device is able to connect to the Wi-Fi, follow these instructions.
Connecting to ResNet using a network cable
Our wired internet access in accommodation is called ResNet. You can also follow these steps to connect your laptop or other device to a network cable around campus.
To use our wired internet, your device will need to have the most recent Windows operating system.
- Your room may have either a single socket, a double socket, or a Wi-Fi hub with a network port:
- Single socket: Plug your device into the network port on the back of your room鈥檚 Wi-Fi hub
- Double socket: Plug your device directly into one of the sockets
- Wi-Fi hub with network port: Connect your device using the available network socket
- On your device, open a web browser like Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. You should automatically be directed to the Device Registration page. If not, visit
- Enter your University username, like abc123, and password. Your username is on your library card.
- Tick the box to accept the terms and conditions.
- Restart your device.
Once your device has restarted, you should be connected to the internet.
