We are looking to recruit a dynamic and strategic Deputy Head of Marketing to plan and deliver innovative and effective campaigns and activities to support student recruitment within the Faculty of Science.

Reporting to the Faculty Head of Marketing, you will focus primarily on international student recruitment, and will be skilled at analysing competitor, market and audience insights to inform marketing planning and campaign strategy.

Collaborative in your approach, you will work closely with colleagues within the Faculty marketing team and across the University to ensure that all activities support Faculty and University strategic priorities and objectives.

About you

You will combine significant marketing experience with effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organisational and time management skills are also important as you will be working on multiple projects.

<![CDATA[Technical Assistant (SS13372)]]> /jobs/rss/click.aspx?ref=SS13372 /jobs/rss/click.aspx?ref=SS13372 We are happy to invite applications for the post of Technical Assistant, working across the Department of Physics and within the wider Technical Services Team. These hands-on posts are an exciting opportunity to work in a varied and interesting scientific environment, supporting and enhancing world-class research.

About the role

Working to support members of the Technical Team, Technical Assistant duties include the provision of compressed gas cylinders/ cryogens, hazardous waste collections, set-up/pack-down and movement of a range of lab equipment, and assisting with the upkeep of research facilities.

This role includes significant housekeeping and ensuring it is carried out to a high standard in our communal facilities, is key to our success. Please understand that this role does not include any scientific research. 

Technical Assistants may also, from time to time, contribute to the smooth running of undergraduate teaching facilities within Physics or across the Faculty of Science, including setting up and supporting practical teaching sessions. 

About you

Candidates with technical or portering experience and a interest in science are encouraged to apply. Experience of working with compressed gases and/ or chemical/ biological hazardous waste would be an advantage, as would cleaning experience. Flexibility, great communication skills, diplomacy and attention to detail are essential for this hands-on and active post.
