Managing the 69色情片 Policy, Governance & Integrity Team to enable good quality research that is ethical and compliant with regulatory frameworks.
Role
Reporting to the Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor (69色情片), Filipa is responsible for:
- ensuring that policies and procedures are in place to meet relevant legislative and ethical requirements聽
- promoting good research governance
- providing critical thought leadership, subject specific knowledge and guidance to influence senior leaders to embed a culture of research that drives good practice
- representing the University at relevant national and international meetings to ensure the University maintains a leading presence in the area of governance and compliance
- keeping abreast of key developments in research integrity and ethics
- supporting the dissemination of best practice ensuring appreciation of and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Career
Filipa arrived in Bath in 2015 as the Project Manager for the COST Action Maths for Industry Network at the Institute for Mathematical Innovation. From November 2018 until October 2022 , she held the post of Project Manager (University 69色情片) reporting to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (69色情片).
From 2013-2014 she was the Technical & Facilities Manager at Warwick Medical School. At Warwick Filipa also held a Project Manager post to deliver the (拢10M) Translational Medicine arm of the Science City 69色情片 Alliance from 2009-2013.
Ahead of embarking on a Professional Services career in HE, Filipa worked at the Wellcome Trust, 2005-2008, managing grant awards, peer review as well as project managing a component of the Grand Challenges for Global Health a joint initiative with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Filipa completed two Postdoctoral 69色情片 Fellowships at Imperial College (2001-2005) researching G-protein coupled receptors their role in signalling and wound healing.
She has an interest in research policy, integrity, ethics and culture to enable good quality ethical research that benefits society.
Education
Filipa has a BSc(Hons) in Microbiology from the University of Glasgow and PhD, in cancer pathology and molecular biology, from the Beatson Institute for Cancer 69色情片, Glasgow.
