QA48 Student Engagement with Quality Assurance and Enhancement

This Quality Assurance Code of Practice statement sets out the partnership between the Students' Union (SU) and the University, for student engagement with QA.


Regulations


QA48 sets out the University's requirements for engaging students in the quality assurance and enhancement of teaching, learning and the academic experience, so that student insight informs decisions and improvement. QA48 and its Annexes cover:

  • The purpose, scope and principles of student engagement with quality assurance and enhancement
  • The ways students contribute through surveys, Staff-Student Liaison Events and quality assurance decision-making
  • Specific arrangements for taught, doctoral and distance learning provision
  • How student feedback should be considered, acted upon and communicated back to students
  • Roles, responsibilities, reporting and oversight
  • How the University assures that student engagement is effective, inclusive and influential
