We research the drivers of conflict and the individual and collective responses to them, paying particular attention to those who are rendered most vulnerable

Our interdisciplinary and collaborative researchers engage with international development policy and practice.

We explore how to counter violence through open and engaged educational practices. Our aim is to help society rethink how violence operates in the modern world.

Run by our students, Bath STAR supports refugees and asylum seekers in the local community by volunteering, campaigning and raising awareness of refugee issues.

The University works closely with Bath Welcomes Refugees, a charity facilitating the settlement and the path to independence of those seeking refuge in Bath.
