Making the most of our Open Days

Plan your visit to campus for an Undergraduate Open Day and find information about the venues, facilities, and services you can visit and use on the day.

A young woman laughs with a female Student Ambassador in a red T-shirt, in bright sunshine.
Our Student Ambassadors know the campus well and can share their experiences of being at Bath.

Navigating around campus

It takes about 10 minutes to walk from one side of campus to the other.

On the Parade, at the centre of campus, is the University Library. The Library is a good place to meet people during the Open Day and is signposted from around the campus.

From the Library, you can walk east along the Parade (turning left out of the Library) to get to the:

If you walk west, you can find the campus shop, Fresh.

  • ask for directions and advice

The Information Points are:

Attend talks, tours, and demonstrations

Throughout Open Day, you can attend general and academic subject sessions designed to give you a flavour of what it's like to live and study in our brilliant community.

Academic subject sessions

Academic staff deliver subject talks and taster lectures, give demonstrations, and run tours of learning spaces and department facilities.

General talks

Our general talks cover:

  • life at Bath
  • our admissions process
  • funding and financial support
  • placements and studying abroad
  • our support services

Plan ahead

Arrive in good time for sessions

We have limited space for all of our Open Day talks. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. You can queue up to 20 minutes before the start of a talk.

Bringing guests to talks

You can only bring one guest with you to each talk. This is so that as many people as possible can get into our most popular sessions. You can bring as many guests as you like to the Open Day, in general.

Visit our accommodation

You can visit some of our accommodation blocks between 9.30am and 4.30pm to see the kind of places you could live while studying at Bath. You will be able to view:

  • Westwood (Derhill) - Houses 2, 3, 4, 5
  • Eastwood Terrace - Houses 34, 36, 37, 39
  • Marlborough Court – B Block MB 1, 2, 3, 4
  • The Quads - Block C Level 1 (including an accessible room)

Find out more about all the undergraduate accommodation that we offer, both on campus and in the city centre.

Meet current students

You'll have the opportunity to meet lots of our current students at the Open Day.

Our Student Ambassadors will be around campus ready to answer questions and talk about their experiences of Bath. Look out for their red University of Bath T-shirts.
