Gain valuable work-place experience

Choosing a master's with a work placement or internship could give you real-world experience and help you make useful contacts during your studies.


Some of our postgraduate courses offer a placement or internship, giving you the chance to work in a business or organisation directly related to your area of study.

Placements usually last up to 12 months and can be based in the UK or another country. Some placements are paid so you could earn a salary while you work.

Solve a real-world business challenge as part of your degree

As part of some of our courses, you can choose to do the Practice Track to use your skills and knowledge to take on a project with an external organisation.


During your master's, you could be offered the chance to complete a Practice Track (also called a Consultancy Project) instead of a dissertation.

The Practice Track is a consultancy or research-based project with a real-world organisation. It gives you the chance to demonstrate your skills and expertise in a practical way and can help you to stand out in a competitive job market.
